November 30

We're back! Well, technically we got back home 2 days ago, but I've been sick so I haven't updated yet. We had a lot of fun visiting with everyone back home, and can't wait to do it again in just 3 short weeks! I can't believe it's only 25 days until Christmas already! It's crazy how fast this year flew by.

Here are a few pictures of us with Bill's family up in Milwaukee. We really appreciate being included in the festivities :) Ethan loved being able to swim and play with William! Even if the pool was "evil" and cut his foot open.

Momo is still hanging around. Today he brought Ethan a bar of penguin soap! So cute :) Please forgive the really dorktastic look on Ethan's face in this picture - he was being a booty and didn't want a picture taken.

November 23

Mr. Momo has been getting more and more bold. He hasn't left any big messes yet, but yesterday we found him sledding down the couch pillows, and today we found him roasting marshmallows over a candle. Naughty little elf, playing with fire!

Bill had his follow up appointment today, and everything looks good. She hopes that the scar tissue she removed from his knee will take away the pain he was having before the surgery.

We are super excited to be headed to Kenosha to see everyone for Thanksgiving! I haven't packed yet though...guess I should get on that...hmmm what will Ethan wear for Thanksgiving? I don't think he has any sweaters!

November 21

Ethan said Momo must really miss Santa because he was giving him a big old hug today! He also brought us candy canes to put on the tree :)

November 20

Today was another Lowe's project. E made a cute snowman, that is supposed to be a gift card holder. But we are going to paint it and put a picture in it and make it a frame :) After Lowe's, we went to the movie on post, "Alpha & Omega". I hadn't heard much about it, but it was a pretty cute movie about wolves that we all liked.

We also put up our tree tonight. Yes, it's early, but we always are! We figure we'll be able to enjoy it for a month before we head to Kenosha, since we aren't here for actual Christmas (hopefully anyways, Bill hasn't put in his leave yet). Ethan loved putting it up, and playing with the ornaments. He had to be reminded several times that they aren't toys, but nothing got broken, so I'd call it a success.

Momo brought Ethan's cool Phineas & Ferb jammies today. Ethan said "I didn't want these"...so I think Momo might be bringing coal from now on!! Such a sassy boy I have!! (For the record, he wanted some Mario ones he saw at Walmart that were the same style and that's why he was disappointed, but geez kid.)

Happy Birthday Auntie Heather!

Family Feast

Ethan's school had their Thanksgiving Family Feast today. They piled everyone into the cafeteria, and when you saw your kid you had to hurry and get in line with them...it was crazy. Then we had 20 minutes to eat this delicious lunch.....

Looks delicious, no? Let's just say Ethan was very glad that he brought his usual lunch of a peanut butter sandwich and didn't have to eat "the feast".

This was super cute. Each kid colored a turkey, and different colors stood for different things. If you had siblings, color your beak yellow, if not, orange. If you like turkey, brown body, if not black, etc. Then you had to figure out which turkey was your child's and their picture is underneath. I guesses Ethan's on the first try :)

November 17

How far he has come in a year! Last year, we all painted snowman pictures to hang in our bathroom. Ethan's was crazy...orange & black snow, 8 arms/legs, etc. This year, he did great! It's amazing how much better he has gotten at drawing since he started kindergarten. Even in preschool, he would only scribble.Yes, this years has a GIANT hat, but I think it's cute ;)

Here is some crazy turkey song he learned in school. I'm thinking he must be missing something, because it makes no sense to me LOL

Happy Birthday Papa!!

Happy Birthday Papa! Hope you had a great day!

Today is Elvis' birthday too. He's 4 (human) years old today. He got a bath for his present, which is really a present for everyone!

And just because he looked cute today...and his hair is long enough to spike again :)

November 15

Gimpy came to the grocery store with me today. He wanted me to take his picture on his little electric scooter LOL

He had his first physical therapy appointment today, and they said everything looks great. They expect him to be up and about in 2 weeks with no limp. :)

November 14

Momo brought Ethan a Bumble from Build a Bear! He is so cute and cuddly. We of course had to watch Rudolph today because Ethan didn't believe me that Bumble was nice at the end. I forgot how mean that movie is. Santa and the reindeer are all jerks to Rudolph and then Hermie rips out all the Bumble's teeth?? So mean! I thought he took out one because he had a toothache, but I was very wrong. Poor Bumble...

November 13

Ethan had a Lowe's project this morning. Bill felt good enough to come with us thankfully. I'm sure if he didn't the periscope would have come out backwards or something :P Next week is a snowman, which looks cute, but then December is 3 pieces of a train. Kind of lame. I was hoping it would be Christmas related.

Oh, this is nifty. When you look at this picture bigger (click on it) you can see his eyes up in the top of the periscope!

Momo brought the boys matching elf jammies today! Bill looks annoyed in this pic, but he wore them all day and I'm pretty sure he likes them :) We watched the movie Elf tonight too. Our first Christmas movie of the year!

November 12

Momo brought Ethan the cutest socks today. They are Beast socks from Beauty & the Beast. They have little claws on the toes. Love them!! They came with a pillow case you can color, but he lost interest in that pretty quickly. Momo also changed out some pictures in the living room to ones with Santa in them. I guess he's getting homesick already.

Geez, he looks crazy in this picture!

November 11

Both my boys were home with me today - it was a long day :P Ethan & I did a lot of crafts - he made us all crowns. Then tonight we watched Beauty and the Beast.

Momo was just hanging out in Ethan's room today. He hasn't been naughty - yet.

November 10

Bill's surgery went well, and now he's home and driving me crazy! He's off work until after Thanksgiving, and I may go insane :P The doctor didn't find any major damage in his knee, so they think physical therapy should make the pain go away.

Ethan got to go play at his friend Chloe's house for a little bit after school, because her mom was nice enough to pick him up for me, as we were still at the hospital. Now he is home until Monday because they have a 4 day weekend for Veterans Day. Not sure what we're going to do yet - we're thinking about putting up the Christmas tree!

Momo brought his book for Ethan to read last night. E was all excited and we read it first thing this morning. He also brought us 2 boxes of ornaments to decorate, so that will be one of our projects this weekend! Just have to figure out how we want to make them...we're thinking penguins of course :)

November 9

Momo the elf is here! Today he was hanging upsidedown in the living room from a hook. He left E a note telling him about what he did at the North Pole all year and reminding him to be super good :)

Bill has his knee surgery tomorrow, hopefully all will go well and we'll be home tomorrow night. Keep him in your thoughts tomorrow!

November 8

It looks like our dear friend Momo the Elf is coming back to town. Ethan remembered that last year he drew Momo a picture and left it under his pillow, and that's how he got him to come. I don't recall this, but he's probably right LOL

So here is Ethan (blue) and Momo (Red). I hope our little elf doesn't get into too much mischief this year...

November 6

Ethan was crazy today! He stayed up too late last night and had too many treats today. What a sassy boy he was. Hopefully that extra hour of sleep tonight will balance him back out, though I'm not looking forward to it getting dark extra early.

He's been working on coloring this picture for 2 or 3 weeks. First it was going to be for me, then for his teacher, and now it's for Granny.

November 5

It was COLD today!! I had to break down and turn on the furnace. Ethan was wearing a hodge podge of colorful winter accessories today :) I love his weiner dog mittens!

November 4

Ethan finished up his letter to Santa today. Yes, it's early, but Santa's elves need lots of time to build his presents ;)

I just looked back at the letter he wrote last year, and it's crazy how much better he is at writing and drawing.

November 3

We can play in the yard again thanks to Nana & Papa!

November 2

Today I took down all the Halloween decorations, and put up our Thanksgiving/Fall ones. It's pretty much just a wall of stuff Ethan has made the past couple years. Hoping he makes some new stuff to add to it this year!

Inside that box in the picture, are my new boots! I just ordered them Saturday and they got here today.... I got a sweet deal on them too...they are $85 boots that I paid $21 shipped for!!

November 1

Halloween is over, now we're on to Thanksgiving! Tomorrow I'm going to take down the Halloween decorations and bring out the turkeys!

Here's my little turkey.
And here he is being a turkey and sneaking a 3rd piece of Halloween candy!
