st. james winery

OK, my last catch up post of the day. They all go out of order, but wanted to get all the pictures out there. These are from last week, when Dawn was down. We drove over to St. James to go on a tour of the winery. Well, once we got there they told us they weren't doing tours that day, lame!! And to make it even more lame, we got the same wine for cheaper at Walmart!! It was neat to see the grape vines growing though, that was probably the coolest part of that place.

Ethan looks like a dink, but you can see the grapes growing above him.

And a few more pictures of Dawn's trip. Playing at the park, and out to dinner. We had a great time Dawn, thanks for coming down!

car show

Last Saturday we went over to Rolla to a classic car show & what they call Summer Fest.

They had face painting - Ethan's favorite thing lately. It's supposed to be an elephant.

A fake Herbie car.

Cousin love.

hanging out at home

The kids eating s'mores from our "campfire".

Ethan prefers his s'mores with white marshmallows (aka he won't cook them).

Roasting marshmallows by the fire.

That water was cold, straight from the hose!

bright sunshiney day

Yesterday, Bill had another "organizational day" aka make your family sit out in the hot sun all day. Basically all the soldiers play games to earn points. There was football, softball, and probably other things I didn't see. Bill signed up to pull a Hummer. So we all trekked out there to watch, and 2 HOT hours later they finally did it...in 15.84 seconds.

Ethan in one of the big trucks they had parked there.

We found a water spigit, and it was great entertainment for a while. It also felt amazing.

Face painting - it's a T-Ball NOT a baseball!

Afterwards we went to the pool because we were sweltering. Most of us are sunburned too, not cool.

Happy Birthday Ethan!

All of these pictures are backwards, so start at the bottom and work your way up :P

This banner did not start out so crooked LOL

Bowser face

Pinata time! Ethan & I made it this year. It was a Yoshi egg.

Doesn't he look so happy?

Mario Star jello jigglers, the cake & the goody bags we made.

Daddy & Uncle Cory set up the bouncy house downstairs and the kids played in it all day.

With his funfetti cake.

I liked Heather's comment, "It's a good thing he's going to Disney World next week, he didn't get enough presents.

His new bike from Nana, Papa, Uncle Cory, Sami & William. Now we just have to find a place to ride it!

st. louis zoo

Their goats weren't scary and trying to eat everything. They didn't allow you to feed them, just pet & brush them, so they were very mellow. Ethan was brushing one, and it started pooing, and he was like, why does it poop jelly beans?! Gross! Thank god he didn't try to eat any! We also learned that goats poo standing up, but squat to pee. Didn't know that!

Ethan getting eaten by a hippo!

My trader son with his build-a-peacock "Happy Happy Peacock"....so disgusting.

Ethan & Dawn on the train. Side note, the worst train ride ever at a zoo. We saw a nasty peacock and 2 elephants. The rest of the train ride was dark tunnels.

On the carousel, he wanted to sit on the penguin, and luckily it was still available. The one right next to it, was a "wild ass"....he didn't want to sit on that one.

I hope he doesn't try to strangle the real penguin when we meet one at SeaWorld! Ethan's favorite are the penguins, but he didn't like the way they smelled.

Checking out the giraffes, there was a cute baby one he really liked.
