Ethan's first t-ball game was tonight. Oh my gosh, so cute! He did really well, better than I thought he would. He was running to get the ball and throwing it to first. His batting could use some practice, but he's no worse than the rest of the team lol. They were so darn funny.

E batted fourth, that's right, he's their clean up batter, and played second base tonight. They played 2 innings, and each kid gets to bat each inning. They don't keep score, and there are no outs, so everyone is a winner. The Sharks totally kicked butt though ;)

1st Day of Summer Vacation

Today was E's first official day of summer vacation, and we had beautiful, (although hot) weather! We stopped at the park this morning and as usual Ethan found a little girl to play with. They were playing follow the leader until it got too hot and we headed home and set up his pool.

He told me today he isn't going to join the army anymore, he's going to be a surfer dude when he grows up. Probably no money in that, but it does sound more fun to me!Wipe Out!

The lighting was terrible, so my pictures didn't turn out great,and Ethan is grumpy (he has his first ear infection) but Mr. Ethan is now a graduate of preschool! Woot woot!

It finally stopped raining long enough for E to have t-ball practice tonight. So cute :) He got to use his new glove & bat. He's doing pretty well, definately throwing better, but still having a bit of trouble catching the ball. Their first game is next week (and you know I'll take a ton of pictures!). I'm sure it will be super cute. They don't really know what they are doing since they've only had 3 practices so far. Hopefully Thursday won't get rained out so they can have a scrimmage and kind of get a feel of what a game will be like.

Only 2 more days of school until his graduation on Friday. He has been practicing his songs & tried on his cap and gown....I don't know if I'm ready to be the mother of a graduate!

it's raining on sunday

Another rainy day...Ethan enjoyed playing in it today though. He has jammies, crocs, his rain coat and his umbrella. Every kids dream!

This is what kept him busy while we cleaned out the basement today...I don't know how it gets so messy, but it always does! Notice the broken desk in the driveway, I thought we were going to give it to Goodwill, but Bill wanted to crush it. Such a boy.

Today one of Ethan's classmates, Maggie, had her birthday party. Once we found the community center that it was held at (we went to 2 wrong ones first...ooops) it was nice. It would have been nicer if the weather cooperated and the kids could play in the splash park, but I guess that was not meant to be. It was a butterfly party, and they played "Hot Caterpillar", pin the butterfly on the flower, and they all got butterfly nets to put their pinata candy in...very cute!
Last week, I ran over the lawn mower while backing out of the garage and broke the front wheel off of it. We're waiting on the wheel to get here, and it has rained ALL week, so our yard is terrible! The grass is as long as Ethan. I can't wait until it gets mowed, it's so embarassing! It did, however, encourage Bill to clean out the garage, and now it's beautifully cleaned and organized, so I guess something good came out of it.

For a while now, maybe even since we moved here, Ethan will play with/talk to "Invisible Ethan". He so needs a little brother or sister to play with! lol Anywho, tonight he was in the bath and "Invisible Ethan" dumped a ton of water out of the tub and onto the rug. Real Ethan was put on time out and he was soooo upset because he didn't do it - Invisible Ethan did - and it wasn't fair that he was on time out. I ended up telling him he was on time out because he didn't stop Invisible Ethan and he is the one that knows the rules. He was ok with that, but said he hopes Invisible Ethan moves out tomorrow....he is so silly!! *and frustrating!!*

In other news...Happy Birthday Caleb! Stop getting so old darn it!

Yesterday Bill came home from work and thought he had broken his arm....turns out it is just a deep bruise all the way to his bone (thankfully!) but we spent 4 hours in the ER last night. E was good, playing his DS and making friends with some ladies in the waiting room lol. We didn't get home until after 10, so I let him sleep in this morning and skip school. Now he says he's going to sleep late every day...I don't think so buck-o!


It was probably a good thing he didn't go to school because I took him to Walmart and he was soooo naughty! Not enough sleep is very bad for Mr. Ethan! I'm hoping t-ball practice is cancelled tonight so he can get to bed on time, and I'm fairly certain it will be since it's been raining on and off all day.

I know I'm a bit late, but Bill had a great birthday. We went to see Iron Man 2 (not as good as the first one by the way) and he got new video games & clothes his 2 favorite things :) The cake was not so good - I got the recipe from a magazine and it sounded way better than it tasted - but other than that it was a good, mellow day. He says thank you to everyone who sent him cards, he didn't do too well on his lottery tickets, I think he won $2 all together :( Mr. Ethan was trying to help him blow out the candles, but this kid could not blow out one of them! He better practice since his birthday is right around the corner.


E is all registered for kindergarten! Both exciting and sad at the same time, when did my little baby get so big?! He starts August 12. Seems like our summer won't be too long, but I'm sure by August he'll be ready to get back to school & make new friends.

It's a rainy, yucky day, and we almost overslept for school, but even though we woke up at 7:45 and school starts at 8:30 we made it! I feel yucky, my throat is starting to hurt & Ethan is stuffed up and says his throat hurts a bit too. I hate to keep him home when he's just stuffy & only has 7, yes 7!, days of school left.
