Na na na na na na na na BATMAN

E got his "batmask" in the mail the other day. Add to it, his jammies & his batcape, and you get this! I totally encourage this by the way ;)

Have just been hanging around the house this week since we don't have a vehicle at the moment. Might go test drive some tonight, but Bill & I can't agree on what to get, so not sure it will do much good.

Happy Birthday Great Grandma(s)

In light of our not having any money anymore (we are looking at new cars tonight & Ethan is starting preschool this month), we are implementing a new birthday system =)

Happy Birthday Grandma Donna! Hope it is wonderful!!

Also, Happy Birthday Grandma Pat!! We didn't forget, just never got your card in the mail (Sorry)!

We love you both!

Back in Kenosha, Again

Ethan & I went up to Kenosha this past weekend with my parents. Bill had to stay behind because we didn't think it wise to use up 3 days of leave for a weekend. Saving it up so we can have a week or so for Christmas. So Bill & Elvis got a few days to bond...I think they dislike each other even more now....

We got to Kenosha at about 2:30 AM and Ethan was soooo excited to see Uncle Nate. They stayed up until probably 4:30 playing video games. Then E was up at 9 AM! Needless to say he was pretty crabby by the time bedtime rolled around.

We went up to the St. Sebastian Festival (lame). E won 44 tickets from playing games and won 2 mini tootsie rolls, a happy meal toy, and a punch ball. Nice, yes?? Then we went back to Dodo's and played games & had pizza.

Sunday was Steve's birthday party...can't believe he's 20. I must be getting old!! E was being a wuss and didn't want to go in the "cold" water. Eventually he did though, and then of course he loved it. Anything he does with Auntie Heather he loves though.

E got to visit with Maya on Sunday too. It was the cutest thing ever. I got him out of the car, and she was down by her neighbor's house. Well they see each other and both start running toward each other like a movie LOL Then they hugged for about 2 minutes saying "I missed you" to each other. So cute. I feel so bad for making him move away from his best friend. They both cried when he had to leave again, but at least they got to visit while we were home.

On the way home yesterday, we stopped at Six Flags and went to the water park for a few hours. E loves the wave pool! Would have been nicer for me if there wasn't soo many people in there, but he didn't seem to notice or care. He wants to go back with Daddy, so maybe in the next few weeks.

We got E signed up for preschool yesterday. Yeah! I was worried that he wouldn't get in since they are having 1 class for the entire post, but I had Bill go in yesterday (first day of registering) and he got in. He starts on August 17, which is quickly approaching! He also starts soccer on August 10.

Oh Baby Baby

As everyone probably knows, Bill & I want to have another baby. We sort of were trying for the last year we were in Georgia, but obviously it didn't work =P

So I finally went to the doctor (gasp) to find out why my cycle is so irregular, thus causing the baby making to not happen. I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), which basically means that my hormones are out of whack. Aside from making it nearly impossible to get pregant b/c I only ovulate a few times a year, it also is effecting my metabolism.

Today I started some medicine that is supposed to balance them back, and that means that hopefully we'll be getting pregnant before the end of the year. Woo hoo! Might also help me lose some weight before that happens so I'm not a 200 lb gorilla after the next one.

I really didn't want to have my kids 5 years apart, but I guess that's the way it was meant to work out. I think Ethan would love a baby to help with, and would be a great big brother.

Here's are a few pictures of baby Ethan. Hope our next one is just as cute! (and smart too!)

We saw Batman!!

We headed over to Six Flags yesterday, for the first time this year. It is an almost two hour drive right outside of St. Louis. It was chilly (70s) and cloudy most of the day, but thankfully it didn't rain.

Mr. Ethan's favorite ride was the 18 story ferris wheel. He made us go on it twice, and no one but him really liked it. He also liked the kiddie rides & meeting the characters. He saw most of them, many more than I've ever seen at the Six Flags in Gurnee.

It wasn't warm enough to go to the water park or on the water rides, so we'll have to do that next time, hopefully we'll make it over sometime in August since we have season passes.

The glow in the dark parade was the coolest part, and we saw Batman in it. Woo hoo! We looked for him all day long, but only found Wonder Woman & the Flash (lame). E got Batman & Superman capes too from playing a water shooting game.

Summer Boy

It finally stopped raining long enough for us to make it to the pool today. Of course, it's been in the 90s all week, and today its only 80*. The water was a bit chilly, so we didn't stay 4 hours like we normally do. E had fun though.

They just built this little kid "splash park" area. Aside from the kids that are obviously too big to be playing in there being bullies, it's nice. They have a little slide and a wading pool, that at least E can stand in.

He likes the big pool, but has to wear the lifejacket. A few weeks ago he wore his water wings and they informed us that they aren't allowed at the pool b/c they could slip off. Ok, but I am standing there with him the whole time, I'm not letting my 4 year old swim around the giant pool by himself. There are probably people who do though, so I guess they have the rule for a reason.

He also really wants to go down the "big" slide. It's really not that big (you can see it behind him in the picture), but you have to be 4 feet tall to go down it. The first time we went to the pool, he tried to go up the stairs, and made it half way up before the lifeguard made him come back down. He was not happy. I doubt he'll be tall enough to go down it the entire time we live here, he's just now 40".

Cement Mixer, Cement Mixer

Well, they finally came to fix the driveway today. Only took Bill calling them to complain every day for 6 weeks! Nice, yes??

A lovely crew of 5 overweight shirtless men with their butt cracks hanging out took about 4 hours to lay some cement. It does look nice now, and I can't wait to be able to use the driveway again! We have to wait 4 - 10 days to drive on it. Hopefully our cars last that long on the street without getting hit or rolling down the hill.

Ethan thought the cement mixer was pretty cool. He wanted to put his handprint in the cement, but Bill got home from work after 6, and it was already hardened. He did enjoy dancing on it though :)

Here are some before & after pictures, and my wierdo boy dancing on the new concrete.

Halloween Already?

Not quite. I got out all of E's old costumes to sell on ebay this week, and took some pictures of them before they go. So here are a few cute ones for your viewing pleasure...

My favorite one is Peter Pan, it's so cute. Wish it would fit come fall, but I barely got the shirt on now.

Right now he wants to be a Vampire this year (he's been watching Buffy with us), so that would be cool. I'm sure he'll change his mind a billion times before then though.

Trying out blogging...

So I decided to try out blogging to keep everyone updated on our activities down at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. I'll try to update it a few times a week, or whenever we get out of the house for a day and actually do something :P
