November 17

It is soooo cold here!! Seriously, it was 23* when I woke up this morning. I had to turn the heat back on (obviously), but we did not want to get out of bed!

Today was the Thanksgiving Feast at Ethan's school, it was so crazy. There were a million people there, and it was not very organized. He had fun though, so it's ok. I got to eat a delicious school lunch, those lunch ladies really love gravy.

Basketball practice was great tonight, the kids were more focused and Ethan is really liking it a lot! I'm so glad! I thought for sure after that first night that he was going to want to quit (after he got hit with the ball twice). He did get hit in the head again tonight, but he didn't cry, he was fine. He loves doing the running drills, and guarding, and shooting baskets. He seems to have more fun with this than tball.

Here is his impression of Momo, LOL!

Happy Birthday Papa (and Elvis)!

Momo, that sneaky elf, crepe papered Ethan into his bedroom. LOL. Ethan didn't think it was very funny, but I did! After school today, we went to Cub Scouts and made Christmas cards & ornaments for soldiers that will be in the hospital this Christmas. They turned out really cute!

November 15

Basketball Practice number 2 went pretty well. There were no injuries! woo hoo! Some of the kids are really bratty though, running around, doing cartwheels, just all around not listening to the coach. It's so annoying. I dislike other people's children a lot of the time. Anywho, he made 2 baskets, and was so cute on defense. He likes to guard people.

Momo brought Ethan this suncatcher craft kit today, he did a super job painting them. We've been up at 6:30 everyday since the stinking time change, so we have extra time in the mornings. He was done with these before school this morning.

November 14

Momo was a busy little elf last night. He rearranged all of our furniture in the living room to make room for our Christmas tree, and he got out all the rest of the Christmas decorations. Ethan's favorite is the Charlie Brown tree, which he wrapped one of his baby blankets around. So cute!! See Momo chilling out on Snoopy's other shoulder? Silly elf.

We also got our Operation Christmas child box all ready to go. Ethan picked to send a gift to a 5-9 year old girl, and had fun picking out presents for her. She is getting a Barbie, jump rope, card game, stickers, coloring book, paints, candy of course, and toothpaste, toothbrushes, wash clothes. We printed our label online so we can watch and see what country it ends up going to, so cool. I had to explain to Ethan that if you don't believe in Santa, he can't bring presents to you, even if he wants to, so Ethan was her "Santa".

November 12 & 13

Ethan wrote his letter to Santa this weekend. His number one request is a Lalaloopsy Silly Hair doll - no surprise there. Then he wants a 3DS, not shocked on that either. Number 3 however was completely out of no where, and so sweet. He wants Santa to bring Daddy home to stay. Now how to explain to him that Santa can't control Daddy's work schedule...

Happy Veteran's Day!

Ethan got to ride in the parade this morning with his Cub Scout den. We made this awesome sign (yes I'm proud of my coloring skills) and he was throwing candy. Well, really when he came past us he was EATING the candy, but he had fun. It was a nice day, and he ended up with a bunch more candy to add to his treat bowl, not that he is anywhere near out of trick or treat candy.

November 10

Cub Scout night! Tonight we toured the fire station. I have to say, our fire station needs an update! Everything in there looked like it's been there since 1960...wood paneled walls for goodness sakes! The boys were disappointed that there was no pole to slide down - the firemen said that they are getting rid of all poles because it's too dangerous. Lame. This was Ethan's last "go see it" - he now has all of his beads and will get his Tiger patch soon. He can become a Wolf at the banquet in January!
