O Christmas Tree

We hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving yesterday. We stayed home all day in our jammies & played games & watched movies. We had all the traditional foods but with chicken instead of turkey :) We game our turkey away to one of Bill's friends.

We put our tree up on Wednesday night - Ethan was soooo excited. Most of the ornaments are on the bottom of the tree - all on one side LOL I moved a few after he went to bed b/c I was afraid the tree was going to tip over. His favorite ornament this year so far is Tom & Jerry & the Little Einsteins rocket (that sings - super annoying!).

He was also totally thrilled to put up the Mickey train. Amazing how he can sit there and watch a train go around in a circle for a half hour.

Here he is dancing to Christmas music while he was waiting for Daddy to finish eating. Disregard all of the wetness on his shirt - he had an incident with ketchup at supper time. He kept wanting me to dance with him like "married" - apparently holding hands and dancing around is how married people do it.

And the finished product - 3 hours later!

Momo is still getting into mischief - yesterday Ethan hit him with a pillow and knocked him off his spot - so last night he toilet papered his room. Well, Ethan thinks it's cool and looks like snow so I don't think he gets that Momo was being naughty LOL Wednesday night, Momo left us candy canes to hang on the tree.

Momo, the Mischievous Elf

Our little elf has been getting into lots of trouble this year. So far he's drawn snowmen on our milk cartons...

wrapped Ethan's pictures on his walls like presents....

gotten out the Christmas movies and got popcorn all over the living room...

and this morning we woke up to Ethan's underwear thrown all over his room, even up on the ceiling fan!
He's done some nice things too of course, brought E some new books, and a Charlie Brown Christmas board game. We're waiting to see what else he will do as he's pretty crazy this year!

Happy Fake Thanksgiving!

My parents came down this weekend and we had our fake Thanksgiving meal. Mom made turkey (gross!!!) and I made pie (yum!!!) :P Ethan wanted chicken nuggets & french fries, but settled for corn, mashed potatoes, a bun & lots of olives. He definately gets his olive love from my side of the family, Bill thinks they're gross.

We went to see Disney's Christmas Carol in 3D. It was a long 90 minutes. E thought it was boring, and I have to agree. The old English they were speaking was hard for me to follow, so I'm sure he had no clue what they were saying. I wouldn't see it again, that's for sure. There are a bunch of movies coming out that we want to see . Area 51, Princess & the Frog & Chipmunks Squeakwell - I think for one of them I'm going to put tickets in his Christmas stocking.

Granny brought some sugar cookies for E to decorate. They turned out colorful & super yummy!

The Army is supposed to be giving us a Thanksgiving basket, so I might be making a turkey this year. I hope it's not a big one, since only Bill will eat it.

Dear Santa

Ethan wrote his first letter to Santa all by himself this week. It's so adorable! It took forever to write, so we left out the I've been good and went straight to what he wants LOL In case you cant' read it, it reads

Dear Santa
1. DS (he's so not getting this, he already has one)
2. Super Princess Peach (a DS game)
3. Catipiller (Scatterpillar Scramble game)
4. Zhu Zhu Pet
5. New Mario Game (a WII game)
Please
Love
Ethan

Only a month until we leave for Wisconsin, can't believe this year has gone by so fast since we moved!

Happy Birthday Papa

Sorry it's dark, our house is just that way & I don't know how to turn on the light/flash when I'm videoing.

Bill is back from Indiana. Not sure what he accomplished there, he says he did nothing while everyone else trained. Seems pointless to me, but I guess he's just there in case a vehicle breaks.

Today is Elvis's birthday too - he's 3 years old. I made him some treats & he really likes them, so I think I'll make them from now on. Nothing gross in them & cheaper to bake them than buy them.

This was our family craft this weekend - I hung them up in our snowman themed bathroom. Can you guess who's is whose? LOL Ethan's has black snow, 4 arms, 4 legs & an orange cloud. I'm not sure what the white stuff on the sides is supposed to be.

And here is the craft E wanted to make this weekend - he apparently loves peacocks now - I'm pretty sure just to freak me out!!

The Return of Momo

Momo the elf showed up at our house this morning. For those that don't know or remember him, Santa sends him to watch Ethan and report back how he is behaving. He also hides in different spots everyday, and sometimes brings little presents, or makes messes, etc.

Well we already have a lot of questions lol. He wants to know why Momo doesn't blink, how does he fly, etc. He told me that Momo is just a decoration, so I had to read him the book (that came with the elf) again and he decided that Momo is a doll by day, then comes awake at night. I swear, he is too young to be questioning this stuff! He told my mom not too long ago that Santa isn't real, and that I bring the presents. Really?? At 4!!

We're very much getting into Christmas mode since we aren't really doing anything for Thanksgiving. Mom & Dad are coming down the weekend before to have "thanksgiving" dinner with us - Bill is excited b/c he loves turkey - nasty!!

They came down this weekend with Nate, E was so excited to see him. He can't wait to go visit him again at Christmastime :) He got to swim at the hotel which was the best thing ever apparently. He told his whole class that he got to go swimming this weekend.
