February 2

Day 2 of Football Week.

How convenient is it that we found out about football week with 3 days left to go, and he has 3 football shirts?

February 1

This week is FOOTBALL WEEK at school, I guess E's teacher must love football, because this is the first theme week she has ever done. We were the only class in school to not celebrate the 100th Day, but the Super Bowl gets a whole week of celebration...lame if you ask me!

He had to vote for who he thinks will win, he picked the NY Giants simply because they had better uniforms and because his friend Jacob was voting for them. That's my little follower :P

The good news is, if he could take one person to the Super Bowl with him, he would pick me. Ha ha Daddy! Technically he wanted to take us both, but the paper said one person, and he's a stickler for rules. Well, that or he was just too lazy to write another name. His LEAP teacher says he is behind on his writing, so I really need to make him practice more, it is pretty messy!

December 5

Today Ethan's Leap class went on a field trip to the nursing home to sing Christmas carols & bring gifts to the residents. I think Ethan was a bit freaked out, but all the kids were great singers and the people seemed to enjoy it (at least the ones that were awake and knew what was going on).Afterwards we had lunch at McDonald's (all the kid's favorite part) and then we went to an old Stagecoach stop that is in our town square. That part was pretty interesting. It was built in the 1850's and was a Union Hospital during the civil war. It was neat to see the old buildings and all of the things that they found underneath it when they were restoring it.Momo made Ethan breakfast this morning, and gave it a little extra magic. His cereal milk turned pink! Ethan wouldn't even try it b/c he was sure that Momo put blood in it....such a weirdo.

December 3

Mr. Ethan was sick today. He has a low fever and says his throat hurts, but he still really wanted to go to his first basketball game. He was so excited, and all pumped up. He was a starting player, and was doing fine for about 3 minutes until he burst into tears and ran off the court. He says he was "nervous" but I think he just didn't feel well. He stayed with his team the rest of the game, and though they did not make any baskets, they were all so cute. Running the wrong direction and tripping over each other lol. Hopefully next week proves better for the Titans.

Perhaps the cutest thing was that they had their own cheerleaders! They even did a little halftime routine...goooo titans!

December 2

Momo made us breakfast...yummy!!

And he brought Ethan a lalaloopsy ornament...isn't it lovely?!

December 1

Our house is all decorated and ready for Christmas. Aside from our Christmas tree smelling like mouse pee from being stored in my parent's shed, everything went up smoothly. Oh wait, Ethan also broke the very first ornament that he pulled out of the tote. It was the Santa handprint that he made last year, and thankfully we had an extra one in there, or I would have been really sad.

Mr. Momo has been up to some mischief... one night he switched out our Christmas stocking with new underwear. He also unrolled Ethan's toilet paper and turned the water in the bowl green! Silly elf.
Ethan was pretty excited to start his 3 advent calendars today, yes he ended up with 3 this year. He will certainly know what day it is all month at least!

November 17

It is soooo cold here!! Seriously, it was 23* when I woke up this morning. I had to turn the heat back on (obviously), but we did not want to get out of bed!

Today was the Thanksgiving Feast at Ethan's school, it was so crazy. There were a million people there, and it was not very organized. He had fun though, so it's ok. I got to eat a delicious school lunch, those lunch ladies really love gravy.

Basketball practice was great tonight, the kids were more focused and Ethan is really liking it a lot! I'm so glad! I thought for sure after that first night that he was going to want to quit (after he got hit with the ball twice). He did get hit in the head again tonight, but he didn't cry, he was fine. He loves doing the running drills, and guarding, and shooting baskets. He seems to have more fun with this than tball.

Here is his impression of Momo, LOL!
