September 24th (The day our van broke down)

Haircut Day! Lincoln has needed a haircut for weeks, and we were finally set to go get one. We take him to the special kids place (more expensive but he gets to sit in a vehicle, watch movies, get treats, etc) and it's down by Pearl Harbor. So about 30 minutes away. This is what we were working with...

The haircut went great. He sat nice, got to pick a blue lollipop, could see without having to blow hair out of his eyes like a shaggy dog. Then we got back to the van. The first clue that something wasn't right was the remote wouldn't work. None of the doors would unlock. Then we noticed a strange noise coming from it. Not good. We quickly realized we needed to call for help, so Bill did that, and we decided to go wait in McDonald's that was thankfully close by.

Fed the kids, Bill got jumped by whoever the insurance sent, so we went on our way. We got maybe a mile down the road (about to turn onto the interstate) and the car just died on us. In the middle of an intersection. Like completely dead, can't roll down the windows in the 85*, my kids are going to cook in here, dead. All the babies are crying. Lincoln and Harrison just want to go to Chuck E Cheese that we've been hyping up all week (it was their prize for being good). Bill calls for help again, they quote him 2 hours for a tow truck to get there so I call an Uber to take me and the kids home. Super fun Saturday. This was after she ate so she was pretty happy :)

Took an hour and $87 to get us home. The driver was really rude and clearly didn't want me to "waste" his time. Whatever, I didn't want to be in his vehicle either.

They were so happy to be home, that they started cuddling. And that never happens.

ETA: It was the battery. *Hopefully* It's all fixed now, but I'm a little nervous to drive it anywhere. I totally owe them a trip to Chuck E Cheese though.

Day 186

Haircut Part Deux came out way better than the first!

We tried to dye it green, but his hair is too dark. Now deciding if we should bleach it and try again or take him to a salon and leave it to the professionals.

You can see his cute face again!!

Day 185

Haircut Day.

Ethan's didn't go as planned, so there will be no photos until it is fixed.

Lincoln's turned out cute, as usual.

Day 51

Haircut day! For the first time, Lincoln didn't cry at all. He sat very nice and she did a good job. I think it's the shortest he's had it cut, but it looks cute. Not in his eyes anymore, and I swear everytime they cut it it gets even curlier.

Before, he is actually happy to be in the train car. And after, still wet but he can see!
Poor baby H doesn't have enough hair for a haircut, but he likes sitting in the airplane.

At home, after I washed it. It's so curly!
This boy had a mullet and it looks somewhat better. Hoping it will look better after he washes it.

101010

Lazy Sunday here today. We were going to make caramel apples, but we didn't get around to it, so maybe after school tomorrow. We did make these cute little clay Halloween people. The witch turned out better than the ghost, but neither were bad, you can at least tell what they are supposed to be lol

E let Bill give him a haircut today too. The picture was taken before the tears and meltdown. Apparently Bill was trying to rip off his scalp (ok not really but he was screaming like he was). I don't have an after picture, because he was "too tired" to lift his head to take one lol. I'll get some good pictures of him tomorrow. He's happy because he can wear shorts a few days this week.

bubble gum, bubble gum in my hair

Tonight Ethan decided to see what would happen if he put his bubble gum in his hair. Apparently, a little bit doesn't stick, but when you put the entire piece in there, it does. So Mr. Ethan got a new haircut tonight. Daddy used the buzzer on him (which he HATES) he cried and carried on and said it hurt (then don't put gum in your hair!) until I bribed him with some new club penguin figures. After that he was perfectly fine and said it tickled..brat!! So here is his new do - he always looks so much older when he gets his hair cut.

Ignore the silly faces, my new camera always gives him half open eyes, I assume it must be the flash or something. Still trying to figure it out.
