Day 17

Lincoln loves pockets. He gets so excited when he gets dressed in the morning and has pockets in his pants, double points if he has "butt pockets" too and crazy points if his shirt has a pocket. He even gets excited if Harrison has pockets lol. So today we went to the Dole Plantation to get some ice cream, and I gave him 2 quarters to feed the fish to put in his pockets. He was soooo excited. He must have checked 1,000 times to see if it was still in the pocket, and switched it from front to back to shirt over and over.

He was so proud of himself putting the quarters in the machine after fishing them out of his pocket. He even made it up the stairs without spilling any, very impressive.

Dole Float, so yummy!! Pineapple "ice cream" in pineapple juice. Harrison drank most of mine.

Day 3

Hanauma Bay

Turning one has not deterred him from eating sand. He now uses the shovel as a spoon.

So I didn't bring my nice camera to the beach because I am way to scared to get it wet and sandy, so we used the underwater camera today. Everything looks a bit foggy/grainy, but Bill & Ethan went snorkeling for a good part of the day and got some cool pictures of lots of different fish.

Linky had fun swimming and playing in the sand. By the end of the day he was rolling in the sand, making sand angels & drawing pictures with a big stick.

The deep sea explorers

Just saying if I was out there and a school of fish swam at my face I would freak out! They thought it was so cool. *One of these things is not like the other*

No, E they aren't taking a nap....

When we moved down in June, Ethan had a fish tank for his new room. There wasn't any room in his bedroom, so we had to put it in the play/computer room. We got it all set up & he picked out two striped zebra fish. He named them Maya & Stripes.

He hasn't looked at them since -until this morning. I was in the kitchen loading the dishwasher and he came in and said "Mommy come look - my fish are playing dead. They are laying down taking a nap". Ut oh!

So obviously these two fish are dead, laying on the bottom of the tank. They do look like they are sleeping, but I told him they were dead. And asked him when he fed them last - we never remember too - sorry fish!

He wasn't really sad about it, but now we'll clean the tank out this weekend. Probably get rid of it too b/c we obviously don't remember to feed our fish!!
