This morning Ethan & I ventured down to our city's egg hunt. The weather man said it was going to be in the mid 50s, and it was 38* and windy as heck. There were some kids that were in shorts, and little girls in dresses that were freezing!! Ethan had a coat & his winter hat in the car, so we put that on. I'm not sure if it was because of the weather, or just because our town is small, but they had 10,000 eggs and not that many kids. Ethan walked away with 47 eggs (and only stopped b/c his basket was full).

colors colors everywhere
Today was grocery shopping day, and since I won't be doing it again until right before Easter, we dyed our eggs today. First we tried to do the tie dye kit - I do not recommend this. You basically suck up color into a straw and then squirt it onto the egg and then mush it around with your hands. MESSY! I think we did 3 before I quit and went to regular coloring. My thumb nail is completely blue, and my fingers are purple. Luckily, he didnt' mind switching, and thought it was just as fun doing it the not as messy, but still messy way :)

And this is the coolest thing. E made it at school during dinosaur week. It's a "fossil" they made out of playdoh that looks like stone and a toy dino.

Disney on Ice
What a yucky day! It's freezing outside, snowing like crazy and windy. Not what you expect/hope for on the first day of Spring!! We went to Disney on Ice in Kansas City.
The show was good, Ethan sat really nice through it all. We had really good seats - right by the ice. The show was in 4 parts -
He got a little yawn-y during the Lion King portion, but perked right up when it was time for Tinkerbell to come out. She flew down from the ceiling at the end, and he thought that was super cool.

3 months from today and we'll be at Disney World, woo hoo! I'm so excited!! And I'm sure I'll be buying $7 popcorn and $20 crappy toys then too :P

splish splash
Bill's dad is down here for work, so we borrowed his hotel pool for a couple of hours this afternoon :) The water was warm, and there was no one else around, E had a lot of fun jumping in and dunking Daddy. He needs to stop growing so fast, he can now walk around in the 3 foot side with his whole head out of the water. Makes it a lot easier for him to play, but it seems like he shouldn't be that big yet!

I'm going to get him into swimming lessons this summer. Just have to figure out how they will work around our vacation. I think he'll do really well, the only thing he's afraid of is floating on his back, not sure why because he will go totally under water with no problems. Hopefully they'll convince him it's ok at the lessons :D

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Bill's brother Cory is down for the week visiting, and I finally got all 3 boys away from the video games and out of the house for a bit. We went bowling this afternoon - Ethan did pretty well with his "granny" style of throwing the ball - it only got stuck once. They were running specials today and we won 3 free games of bowling, and E got to pick a chocolate coin out of the pot of gold.

Before we left for bowling, I had spiked up Ethan's hair with green hair gel. Bill somehow got the bright idea to put some of the gel in his "beard" - I use the term loosely as it's just a few days of not shaving. Well, the gel is more of glue and is very thick - needless to say it looked super funny.

For his St. Patrick's Day present, we got him a rainbow projector for his room. It's pretty nifty, would be better if he would sleep on the top bunk so it could project onto the ceiling, but it still is pretty neat on the bottom bunk too.
