Happy Columbus Day!

Ethan came home from school all excited about Columbus Day LOL I was surprised how much he learned in school (and also surprised that he remembered it all when he got home lol)

We also made our caramel apples today. They turned out much better than last year, and we could actually eat them without breaking our teeth LOL

101010

Lazy Sunday here today. We were going to make caramel apples, but we didn't get around to it, so maybe after school tomorrow. We did make these cute little clay Halloween people. The witch turned out better than the ghost, but neither were bad, you can at least tell what they are supposed to be lol

E let Bill give him a haircut today too. The picture was taken before the tears and meltdown. Apparently Bill was trying to rip off his scalp (ok not really but he was screaming like he was). I don't have an after picture, because he was "too tired" to lift his head to take one lol. I'll get some good pictures of him tomorrow. He's happy because he can wear shorts a few days this week.

October 9

We had a fun day today! We tried to pretend that it was actually fall and not 85* outside, but that wasn't working too well since we were all in shorts. We did have a pumpkin shaped pizza last night, it wasn't very good. After we got it, I went back and read my blog entry from last year and we didn't like it then either LOL

This morning was a Lowe's Build to Grow project. Ethan is still loving them! He's up to 4 patches already :) Today's project was a fun house mirror. It's pretty cute, just a little mylar mirror that you can move up and down to distort your face.

After Lowe's we headed over to the free movie theater on post and watched "Kung Fu Panda". It's an older movie, in fact, we saw it on E's 3rd birthday. He hated it then, but I think mostly because he was too little to sit still at the movies. Today he liked it a lot better :) We stopped before the show and got candy & sodas at the commissary.....first he lost the cap to his drink in the theater and then he spilled his orange soda all over my white pants. I was quite sticky, and they insisted on stopping at GameStop and the commissary on the way home.

E has a responsibility chart that he does every week. He gets to pick his reward - usually it's going out for ice cream, but this week he picked a present. He's been very into LEGOs lately, especially playing with the little figures. I found a whole pile of their heads in his bedroom the other day - creepy yes, but he was playing with toys! Anywho, they have a collection of just minifigures right now. It's a mystery which one you get, and you are supposed to collect them all. He got some of them as his reward. His favorite is the lifeguard, but I like the vampire best. They're all pretty darn cute though.

Happy Birthday Uncle Nate!!

Raphael is cool, but rude

This weekend we babysat Ethan's friend Kadence (from his old preschool), her sister and baby brother. All E wanted to do was hold the baby all night - he was infatuated. He totally wants his own baby brother now. This is the first baby that he has ever held or been around. He is 5 months old and such a sweetie.
E has now been in school for a whole month! That flew by! He got his progress report and he knows everything they have tested him for and it said was "Awesome Student". He was super excited to wear his new Ninja Turtle shirt today - he has been waiting for it in the mail for 3 whole weeks - dang slow ebay people.

And today we busted out the basketball hoop - it is still pretty darn hot here, but it wasn't too bad out this afternoon. We are so ready for fall - well maybe not E, he does NOT want to wear pants!! Bill had to have surgery on his tooth today, so he is home with me all week (lucky me :P) He'll be back to work on Thursday.

Spirit Week

Ethan had spirit week at school this week. You all know how much I love days when they have to wear certain things :)

Yellow Day
Camoflague Day
Black/Orange Tiger Day (his school colors & mascot)
Red, White & Blue Day
Of course all Mr. Ethan wanted to do was come home and put on his Halloween costume. He loves this thing! If I let him, I'm pretty sure he would wear it to school and to bed lol

Mama Mia! It's Mario!
