February 9th

Another snow day! We actually did get quite a bit today, and the hill is once again trechourous. We did go out and shovel today and then we were sledding for about an hour. Ethan takes forever to walk back up the hill because he stops every 2 feet to eat the snow. Then I remembered that I saw a recipe for "snow cream" so we made some after we came in and warmed up. Meanwhile, mean Daddy whitewashed my poor son giving him the reddest cheeks ever! We had a lot of fun though, Bill rolled down the hill without a sled (I may have pushed him a little, but I didn't know he'd go all the way down the entire hill!), E and I made snow angels, and we all took turns on the sled. It's the first time I've enjoyed snow in a long time!

February 4th

ANOTHER FREAKING SNOW DAY!!! I swear, Ethan isn't going to have a spring break this year because they are going to make up all these snow days. I'm glad that we didn't have any plans. I shouldn't complain though, b/c if they didn't cancel school, he still wouldn't have made it since we still can't get up the hill- Bill had to get a ride to work today.

Nothing exciting is going on. Ethan got a hold of my camera and took about 100 pictures of his Mario toys....

February 3rd

Snow Day Part 3...

Ethan built a fort today. Yes, it's incredibly lame and just 2 chairs and a blanket, but it made him happy for about an hour. Starting to hate snowdays....

Bill had to go to work today, so he attempted to make it up the hill. Yeah, didn't work. He ended up stuck in a ditch on the side of the road, and we had to call a tow truck. At first, it was a 4 hour wait to get someone out here because the road conditions were so bad, but someone came about a half hour after we called. Thank goodness! They pulled him to the top of the hill so he could drive to work.

February 2nd

Snow Day Part 2! We didn't actually get a ton of snow, like everyone else we know, but the snow we do have is like ice. It's impossible to shovel, and is super hard. Of course NOW Bill tells me that he used up all the salt we had last week. GRRR. Wish I would have known so that I could have picked some up.

It has been entertaining trying to watch people get up the hill. I haven't seen anyone make it yet. The neighbors were out there trying to push their car up and it wouldn't budge. Then we saw a little Geo Metro flying backwards trying to make it up - they didn't make it either.

We managed to get outside and go sledding in the front yard. Ethan gets going so fast, that he either ends up in the drainage ditch, or Bill has to throw himself in front of him to stop him. Like any good family fun, it ended when Ethan got hurt. Bill accidentally shoulder checked him in the face when he was trying to catch him. Good times!

He of course recovered quickly, and had lots of cocoa with rainbow marshmallows. Yummy.

February 1st

Snow Day!!! We don't have much snow here (thankfully), but we do have sleet and ice, so Ethan & Bill had a snowday today.

E had to make a box for his Valentine's party at school next week, so we made this awesome robot today. He named it Ethan the LoveBot. He had legs, but they wouldn't support his big head, so we had to remove them. He's still cute though.

We also got his Valentines done for his class party, I think they turned out super cute even though Snapfish cut off part of the wording, and I didn't want to have to reorder the pictures :P
